Wifi not found by new laptop device. Every other device sees and can connect.

My son's new school issued Dell chromebook  does not find our home netgear wifi. It does see other local wifi devices and routers nearby. Every other type of devise from cell phones, ipads, pcs, laptops , roku, printers, smart tvs, etc. all find and connect to our home wifi with no problem. Can anyone suggest a solution. The school's IT dept says it a router issue after replacing the chromebook 3 times with the same results. Other kids chromebooks connect with their home routers.

Thanks,

Brian

  • You have an AX router. If AX is enabled try turning it off. Not all devices play well with AX being available at this time. Odds are you do not have and AX clients anyway.
