Wifi speeds slower than what I am getting

details are key. 

1. what router do you have?
2.  what phone and version is it? 
3. what wifi card is in the laptop? 

These are all key as many laptops and phones either use 1x1 or 2x2 antennas. And some support 160hz and some don't. So knowing what router you have (potential capability) versus what device is connected to it helps us determine if your speeds are low or fantastic for what you have. With wifi having more overhead than wired, it won't every match the same speeds but determining how close to it you'll get, depends on the equipment.
