I was using Local NUb 1 gig Nokia modem. Now using charter spectrum modem. Still same thing. Att service never dropped. Just updated to newest software this morning. It does a complete reboot and the reason I know is because printer is connected to it also WiFi. When it drops the printer beeps so I go look at router and it’s rebooting. It ONLY does this when I have my twins for that week and they are gaming on their xboxes. When they are with their mother it never drops. Months of verification.
Did you do a factory reset and manual re-install after the firwmare upgrade?
