And sometimes where the firmware on it was several generations out of date and you go all the way to the latest, old (default) settings can cause issues. so its worth a shot.

I have the latest firmware. I jumped from a lifetime linksys user to this and have had nothing but issues.
I'm at the of my wits eith this thingvas it now doesn't see other computers hard wired in. The app completely SUCKS can't even do advanced troubleshooting through the app. .

2. you can contact support. Maybe you did get a bad device. It does happen.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.
