Smart Parental Controls has stopped working (again?)

Yes, all those functions you mentioned no longer work for me either. 

 

 - pausing, bed-time, off-time, app limits, - nothing works even though it registers the settings.

I tried to disable SPC from Orbi App and it won’t disable them - it says

 

“Unable to toggle state (code: SPC-DISABLE-FAIL)

 

Here we go again with contacting support…I just finished doing this last week when I couldn’t unpause the profile.

    We've made NG aware of your issues. Not much else we can do from here in the forums. Users will need to submit bug reports thru the app for issues seen. NG is aware.

      I spoke to a support rep over chat yesterday. Their advice was to uninstall and reinstall the android app. If that didn't work, downgrade the firmware of the RAX48 router to the previous version.

      Not only did that not work, but downgrading the firmware caused my router to lose all settings and it would not recognize my backup settings cfg file.

      Apparently this parental control bug is a known issue, I might try downgrading to an earlier version if I feel adventurous.

        I assume we won't be getting any refund on our subscription for this "known bug"?

        Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative mesh wifi solutions with parental controls that actually work (and can report in near real time of accessed sites and services)? I'm pretty much ready to walk away from Netgear.

      Thanks, my product support has expired. So I dont know if I can even log a support case. Are there any updates or acknowledgement of the SPC issue? thanks

        FYI. Friday AM in the US my parental controls started working again. Perhaps the downgrade for the firmware actually worked after all. Might also want to try reinstalling the app too?
