VPN bypasses Smart parental control on my RAX70
I was surprised to discover that using a VPN can bypass the Smart Parental Control on my NETGEAR Nighthawk RAX70. This is a significant gap that needs to be addressed immediately, especially since we invest a lot of money to ensure proper protection for our kids' internet activities. The primary reason for purchasing advanced parental controls is to safeguard children from inappropriate content and regulate their online exposure. It's disappointing that such a fundamental security feature can be circumvented so easily, and it's crucial that NETGEAR resolves this issue promptly.

Due to the randomization of the VPN and IP addresses and MAC addreses, can't be controlled by some security apps.
You'll need to take a look at some OpenDNS or NextDNS services for additional parental controls and see if they may be of help. Contact your VPN provider as well for information on what can and can not be controlled with VPN in use.
