How often would you expect to see any firmware updates, if any at all, and is there a roll back/troubleshoot feature in case anything goes pear shaped???

Thanks :-)The ReadyNAS Firmware Release Notes section gives some hints to release frequency, but I have observed typically every few months for active units. Rollback is not quite so easy, and sometimes not even possible. You need to ensure you have good backups.
