NETGEAR Employee here, so I'm not entering the contest, but I came across some cool images online for a "messy" and before/after setup. Thought I'd share it with the Community as inspiration.
Totally liking this before and after shot!
Show off those cables! #FlexibleMountChallenge

Here is a picture of my rack in its earlier days (only 4 month ago, though)
And here is the rear-end of my rack after my friend and I cut some custom-length cables.
Here is a picture from a place my co-workers and I support. The director doesn't want to pay to have us redo it😬 (Yes, that patch pannel is hanging by the cables.) I used to have to navigate through this mess daily...

Not really a rat's nest...more like a mouse trap.

I've always been horrible at cable management, I should probably watch a video on tips or something some day.
Anyway, this is my current home network.

I bought a house the came pre-wired with Cat5E. The bad news is the network panel was a complete disaster and had to be completely redone. Now, I've got gigabit running to 2 ports running to every room and servers hosting in my office to media devices around the house! :)

I've walked into a few closets there were a nightmare, but this inherited disaster was one of the worst.
Same client, but a new location that we were able to do right from the beginning.

Definitely put me in the rat's nest category. Bought a full-size rack a few months back with the idea of organizing everything. Unfortunately, all it's done is make more room for additional equipment which is then wired in with whatever cables I have available. Need to make some time to organize at some point...
Here is the disaster that is the core of my network.
This is the only part of my network that would even be remotely called cable porn.- brandonclone1Aspirant
My access points look beautiful! Just don't look in the laundry room...

I know, I mean, the Underoath poster..... :D

Love me some Underoath! Hopefully my kid will continue my legacy and hang up that poster one day.
