Admin Login
We now tried just about everything. When we try to log on to our app it keeps sending us to log in where “Admin” is fixed as user, but the word password, the password on the botton of our router or t...

May 18, 2025My impression is that the Orbi 'app' can be "un-helpful" at times. The app requires two logins:
- The Newgear User ID, also used to log into my.netgear.comand the this Community Forum.
i.e. email address and password.
The app is annoying because it often suggests "admin" or some old email address which is definitely dredged up out of the past. - Sometimes, after accepting the Netgear login, the app will ask for the router web admin credentials, which are "admin" and a password that was set when the router was configured and many users have long forgotten. (I have used the same router password for 20 years, so remembering it is not hard - for me.)
The password on the bottom of the router is part of the default WiFi credentials. For Orbi routers, the SSID is the letters "ORBI" plus a number and the password is some combination of common words plus a number, such as "birdpoop46". These credentials are never used to access the Orbi app.

xXSpirXx - Just to clarify this. My Orbi router labels the default WiFi password as the "Network Key (password)" It also includes the default admin credentials on the same label - ("User Name" listed as admin, and "Password" listed as password). But as Retired_Member says, you don't use either of these to log into the Orbi app.
