Community/My Community pull-down issue

When I select Community and then My Community from the header drop-down, it takes me to a page where it says to select my community, but there are none from which to select.  All I see is this feedback area, but with only the ability to read, not start a new subject.  There is a whole lot of white space on the left where something is probably supposed to be.
