Marking posts as read
The new software requires me to click on a post (for instance on the date in a discussion thread) before the post is marked as read. Reading the full discussion thread is not enough.
Since the unread posts are not flagged in the thread itself, it is not possible to see which posts haven't been read yet. The threading structure also makes that tricky, as the newest post is often not at the bottom of the thread.
I'd like
- to see what posts in the discussion haven't been read
- to be able to mark the full discussion thread as read.
- to be able to filter the forum posts so I only see discussions with unread posts

These are very valid points. Having clearer indicators for unread posts and the ability to mark an entire thread as read would definitely improve usability. A filter for discussions with unread content would be a great productivity boost too—hope this gets prioritized.
