RBK352-Satellite ne fonctionne plus après mise à jour du firmware
Hello,
I have a router RBR350 and two satellites RBS350.
Yesterday I updated the firmware of my devices to version 4.4.1.29 and since then one of my satellites does not work properly (only ...

Hello,
Thank you but I have configured my ISP router in order not to interfere with the Orbi.
For those who might want to do the same, here is how I did it:
On my ISP router I disabled the wifi, set a DHCP range up to 192.168.1.2, reserved this IP for the Orbi and set the DMZ on this IP as well.
The Orbi is configured with a DHCP range from 192.168.2.x and it works perfectly. Doing so I can use the VPN function without any issue, etc.
I re-applied the latest firmware on the satellite but it did not help.
I have tried to connect my PC directly to the satellite with an ethernet cable and the connection works fine, but as soon as I try to use the wifi it fails to connect to the internet.
Edit: typo

Thanks for the information. What IP address does your PC get when connected via wifi and when connected by ethernet cable please?

Via Ethernet
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.7
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1Via Wifi
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.3
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1=> both configurations make sense with my setup
I don't know how it gets the IP adress in wifi because it says it cannot find the DHCP when I try "ipconfig /renew".
PS: I would like to try connecting with a laptop to see if the problem does not come from my PC, but I don't know how to be sure the laptop actually connects to the "faulty" sattelite. A tracert to 192.168.2.1 (the IP adress of the Orbi) doesn't show any hop.
PS2: Booted on a live linux distro (Fedora 36) and the wifi connection does not work either, so the problem is not related to my PC.
I think this PC is the only one having a wifi 6 network adapter. Maybe that helps ?

You can see to which node a device is connected to by looking either in the Orbi app or on the web GUI (orbilogin.com) under Attached Devices.
If it's not your PC who causes the issue, it must be a radio connectivity issue either between the laptop and the satellite or between the satellite and the Orbi router. Please make sure that the connection is stable. Check in the Attached devices if the satellite is connected to the router using the 5G or 2.4 GHz band.

Thank you for the hint !
I have a laptop (with a wifi 6 AX201 adapter) & my phone connected over 5G to the "faulty" satellite and they work ok.
I just tried an old wifi usb stick on my PC and it works perfectly fine as well. 😲
Looks like the wifi adapter on my PC is the problem. I don't understand what happened, because the issue appeared exactly when I restarted the Orbi system after the firmware update. Could it be that the new firmware brings issues with some wifi 6 adapter (intel AX200 chip) ?
