How can I get genie to allow new internet name/network?

Maybe they meant the Android app. Not all routers support the Nighthawk app.

There is also the desktop genie for Windows and Macs.
The latest (last?) version of the Windows genie was 2.4.64.
I use it regularly. Great tool.

Be warned that the genie installation file is wrapped up in a RAR archive that you have to decompress.

This could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac program for a PC, or a mobile Android/iThing app. Netgear labels them all as genies. Which are you using?
