The latest version of the NETGEAR Genie should be compatible with Windows 10. I suggest making sure that the program has been completely uninstalled by checking Programs and Features under Control Panel. You can then try to reinstall the program by downloading the latest version using he link below.

Please try installing the latest version (2.4.20) of the NETGEAR Genie program and check if it works.

Makes no difference - still the same crash after running the program. I have now tried all versions from .12 to this latest one in all compatability modes.

... i copied and pasted the Genie edition you mentioned, then Googled it.
It came up with a chip.de website. I went there, downloaded it and got the same
Windows error message. Here's a capture of the download version I used.
