I assume you have a wired PC you can connect to the R7000 with? Does this work?
Not sure what you mean by " once i go to put in admin name and password for router, it wont allow me to put in new admin name"?
Do you want to use a new name only for the iPhone? Or do you mean on the iPhone on the page that allows you to change the ADMIN name and P/W you can't?

Hi thanks for your reply
yes you are correct i do have a PC with the app on it as well , i can access account on computer but would also like to be able to access from my iphone,I am referring specifically to the iphone genie app, it wont allow me to change the account name for the router on the login page, bascically i tap on the area for putting in account name and nothing happens it just stays with the default password, although i can change the password with out any trouble but when i push login button it comes up with the meassage "Enter correct admin username and password for your NETGEAR router"

I'm having the same problem.
I Just updated the app, and now I can't change password from my iPhone.
New version of app doesn't seem to do anything except allow me to LOOK at network map.HELP!
I can manage my account/wifi password etc through the online Netgear genie using a mac.
It still works fine, thankfully.

Hi
Thankyou for that info, i went to the link and realised that i was trying to use my DNS username and password and it was not the username that i was getting wrong it was the password,so i went throught the steps to recover the username and password and realised that the actual username that was on the iphone app was correct and that ultimately i was using the wrong password , i am now able to access on all my devices thank you
