Hi, I am trying to setup parental controls, but I get an error message when connecting to OpenDNS. My account works fine on opendns.com, anyone knows what to do? I am using firmware V1.3.0.10...

Hi Townsend96,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of your router?
2. If your router supports the Disney Circle feature (list of routers are here), then you can look into it here.
3. If not, you can use a combination of features. See below.
First, you can do Address Reservation for your devices and set them on a range (i.e. 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.10). Steps are linked below.
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24091
Second, set a schedule (i.e. 22:00 to 06:00). Steps are linked below.
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24055
Third, set to block all services. Steps are linked below.

Hi all,
1. Does the issue persist when you try logging in using another device (iOS, Android, PC, Mac)?
2. Are you using an existing OpenDNS account or was it setup using the NETGEAR Genie app/program?
3. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app/program?

Thanks Dex.,
I finally ended up getting the filter level set for my family. I ended up logging into open dns website on my laptop. Added my network. Then I logged on with the Netgear app and it worked. Now I can't figure out how to put a time limit on a device for bedtime. Would you be able to help? Thank you!
