Adding more connections
I recently purchased a TIVO and bought the XAVB1004-100NAS Home Theatere connection kit and it has been working great for the tivo and 3 other components in our family room. We just ordered a second Tivo for our bedroom. The Tivos need a wired or MOCA connection and so I just ordered a Netgear XAVB5004 Powerline Network Adapter.
I plan to plug the ethernet cable from the modem to the Netgear XAVB5004 Powerline Network Adapter and then use the unit with the 4 ethernet ports that comes with the XAVB5004 for the family room. I was hoping to use the Powerline XAV1004 AV Adapter with 4-Port Ethernet Switch which came with the XAVB1004-100NAS in the bedroom without plugging in the Powerline XAV101 AV Ethernet Adapter and relying on the Netgear XAVB5004 Powerline Network Adapter to power both boxes. Will that work or do I need to plug in both adapters to get ethernet on both boxes ?
Thanks.
