Any known issues with Linksys E2500 router?

Question

I have two XE104 adaptors, which had been working fine. One is hardwired to an older Linksys wireless router, the other to my Mac. Recently, I had to replace the old router, and purchased a Linksys E2500 model. Now, the Powerline adaptors don't seem to work. I get a network connection, but the connection is useless... almost no throughput. I tried pinging the router from my Mac and 3 out of four pings were dropped.

I also have an unused XET1001 adaptor, which I tried in place of the adaptor that's hooked up to the router... that didn't help.

Are there any known issues with the E2500 router? Any settings that I should try changing? Any other ideas for troubleshooting?

My gf is NOT happy about the idea of running a 50 foot cable through our living room :(

Should not have an issues as long as device has ip address, gateway etc

My bad... the model is E1500, not E2500.I've just upgraded the firmware, which didn't help. Still three out of four pings lost.

As it turns out, it has magically fixed itself. Who knows why?
