Can I connect my Powerline AV500 to my plug socket via a timer plug?

I know I can't plug it into an extension lead or socket bar, but can i plug them into a timer plug (i have a 24 hour mechanical timer plug unit that fixes to the wall socket and the powerline adapter would plug into that).

Why would you do that?  To auto-turn on/off the adapter?  It draws next to nothing, so you won't save that much power.  At any rate, it will work when the timer is "on"  but you might experience lower data rates.  Same with an extension lead or socket bar.

I have a spouse with an OCD about leaving electrical stuff on overnight. Thinks it's a fire hazard. But thank you for your reply. I get it. It's the same as using an extension or socket bar. Newbie to the forums hence posting in the wrong place. Won't do that twice. Cheers.
