Dg834pn + powerline

I have an old DG834PN wireless router and netgear powerline XE102 plus several wgx102 v2 wireless range extenders. All work well. I no longer work via wireless where the router HAS to be located. The wireless range extenders are all configured to the same WEP secured network as the router. If I now configure the wireless element of the router to OFF thus disabling the wireless from the router itself but still keeping the wired powerline elements. 1) is that OK? 2) will each extender still have the same WEP encrypted wireless network?
