How do I connect a pl1200 to and existing xe104 network?

I've been happily using a xe104 network for years - one base unit and one remote.  Now, with the need to work from home, I need to add another remote.  I picked up a pl1200 and plugged it in, but I think I've got to do something with the encrytption key.  Help?

    But it probably won't work.

The PL1200 is a new model that uses the AV standard.

The XE104 is ancient (2005). No sign that it is AV.

PL1200 is AV 1200, it replaces AV 1000 which replaces AV 500 which replaces AV 200.

Any plug on the network will drop down to the speed of the slowest plugs around.

I wouldn't bother. The LAN ports on the PL1200 are Gbps. They aren't even 100 Mbps on these museum pieces. Fine back then, when the Internet was slow, but slower than many current services
