"keep up", those devices are 13 years old. There isn't much "keeping up" with that old of device. What actual issue are you having as they're powerline devices with access point option.
Pretty old N300 access point speed at that. Its probably time for an "upgrade" to keep up with your MacBook. You'll probably notice some increased speeds on the MacBook when it has a current generation wireless signal to connect to and not one that's 3-4 generations behind.
