Is AC1200 WiFi Mesh Extender (EX6150) compatible with the bundle PLW1000v2/PL1000v2?

Bought the bundle PLW1000v2/PL1000v2 a month ago.  I want to add an additional access point similar to PLW1000v2.  Is AC1200 WiFi Mesh Extender (EX6150) compatible with it?  They look the same on the picture but the dimensions are slightly different (PLW1000v2 = 121 x 87 x 38 mm) and (EX6150 = 122 x 74 x 38) which are very, very close but not the same.

If this isn't the correct one, is the only option to buy another bundled pair and add the 2nd PLW1000v2 to it?  Or is there another extender that is compatible?

Are you wanting the extender to run over powerline? if so, the EX6150 doesn't have powerline built in.

As plemans says, you can't plug the EX6150 into the mains and get it to connect as a LAN device.

You can plug it into a Powerline plug and use the Ethernet connection to run the EX6150 in AP mode.

The manual explain how to do that.

Look for the section Use the Extender in Access Point Mode

Thank you to the two of you for the quick response.

There is an opinion in the house that the WiFi signal is not strong enough so someone purchased a 2nd bundle PLW1000v2/PL1000v2 and want to hook that up.  Is this a good idea?  Any other options with the current bundle to make it better?

That should work. But remember that you need just the one plug connected to the router. So the second WiFi (AP) powerline plug can work with the existing pair.

Adding a powerline adapter to an existing powerline network

That leaves you with a spare plug that you could use to turn the EX6150 into a third AP.

Not sure what you mean by "current bundle". We know nothing about the router at the heart of your network or how fast your Internet service is.

Powerline is at best a kludge that will come nowhere near the performance you would get with a decent Mesh network. But that doesn't come cheap.
