Need help to Boost Wifi and connect Hard wire device - Recommended product?
Hi I have really slow Wifi in my Bedroom (my Wifi router is in my Lounge not too far away) and looking to boost the Wifi so I can easily use my Laptop and Phone with no issues of slow or dropping...
Couple things
1. What router are you using? firmware on it?
2. you state your bedroom isn't to far from the lounge. How far is "not to far"? It allows us to better determine if its an expected result for having slow wifi at that distance or if there's troubleshooting to be done for that aspect. What is the wall material in between? Concrete, brick, hvac, and foil lined insulation do a great job of blocking signals.
3. What wifi adapter is your laptop and phone using? Dual band/single band?
4.If you're looking for powerline with wifi built in, Netgear does have that option but it doesn't have a current version with wifi and powerline passthrough available. Passthrough is an option with the nonwifi powerline adapters.
