Need help to Boost Wifi and connect Hard wire device - Recommended product?
Hi I have really slow Wifi in my Bedroom (my Wifi router is in my Lounge not too far away) and looking to boost the Wifi so I can easily use my Laptop and Phone with no issues of slow or dropping...

Ive a Hub 3.0 with the latest firmware
The extension cable is in my Bedroom where I want to extend my network.
Im not looking to spend too much (under £60 approx) and want an all in one solution to avoid different setups and confusion and something I can take with me if I move. Would a powerline with wifi capability just do the trick? as that seems it would serve all my needs. Only really need 1 hard wire connection also and to ensure wifi is good in my room for laptop or phone when i need.
I tried the VM Connect app and it did flag as a black spot and said it rectified it but a speedtest later on shows differently! lol

Hub 3.0 might be what its called but we'd need a model number and name to help.
I couldn't find any Netgear powerline adapters for the UK that have integrated wifi and passthrough. I did find some from other companies but most were >£60.
What wifi adapter are you using?
have you tried changing wifi channels to help with signal interference?
Or changing the router placement to see if that'll help with signal broadcast?

I would consider paying more for the right ones, that was just a rough idea of a budget. Ive seen some fantastic ones but they are £120 which is a bit steep if im being honest.
Ill need to find the details on the Hub when im in from work. What will the name and model help identify?
Thanks

It'll help us determine how well the basic device should work. If your room is close to where the router is, it might be something you can try to get your wifi working better versus adding in a powerline device, extender, etc.

In the UK it is probably the Homehub 3.0, an ancient and not very capable modem/router from BT.
Unless this is a gigantic house, replacing it with a decent modem/router could beef up the wifi significantly.

Other brands will be cheaper. BT evens sells these things.
To my mind the passthrough is a red herring. Just by a three-way adapter for about £5 and use that.

I know its the Hub 3 from Virgin Media which I must have got about 18 months ago now
My house is pretty small, upstairs split house so all on the same level and 2 bedrooms
I didnt think about that and getting a better router that could increase my wifi coverage but would still have the need to hardwire my devide in my bedroom which is a big thing as its to ensure my IPTV/Netflix subscription runs lag and buffer free
Regarding the layout of my room, would it be useful to draw a diagram and upload the file here? visually might be easier, can also place where the router is

Any router should be able to fill that space with wifi. So it is probably worth looking for other reasons why things go wrong.
What is the wifi device that is slow in the bedroom?
Is it a lot faster when you are closer to the router?
How fast is your Internet service?
Have you tried moving the router to a better location in the main room?
