No Valid IP Address - Help!!

Installed [2] Powerline 2000 adapters, they appear to be functioning, all the indicator lights are showing green. I know my modem and router are also functioning, since I have WiFi running through out our house. 

 

The ethernet shows up on my laptop which is using Windows 10, but is showing  "no valid IP configuration"  

 

Help?

    This is a message in Windows?

     

    Try running the Network Troubleshooter in Windows.

     

    Start here:

     

    Fix network connection issues in Windows 10

     

    It maybe down to changing the security on the Ethernet connection.

     

    You don't say what the router and modem are. I assume that you have the "host" plug connected to the router and that the modem is just that, a modem and not a modem router.
