    Hello JEV50

Modern ONT like the NOKIA XGS-PON ONT (version unknown, some have one 10 GbE port, few models have about three additional 1 GbE ports) and can serve (your ISP or fiber provider like KPN permitting) are much more than a pure XGS-PON ONT (like a "Modem"), and include a full home gateway, allowing to serve your home LAN direct, also per Wi-Fi).

I understand the  Experia Box V10 again is also a fully blown home router, supplied in the Netherlands e.g. by KPN, and it might support additional one or two POTS (plain old telephone service) ports to connect classic analogue phones.

Technically, a simple older PL1000 might serve as a replacement for a probably non-existing at least CAT5E or CAT6A network cable - but it will never support modern speeds in anywhere near from 1 Gb/s your Internet connection might be offering (technically 10 GB!).

Further on, I would have some concerns that these elderly Powerline devices are aging fast, and the reliability is at risk.

Definitely a better choice would be the investment in a good network cable between the ONT and the Experia Box V10.

    Regards,

    -Kurt.
