plasma tv drastically reduces throughput
Recently purchased the xavb5004 kit to get internet and NAS access to my home theater setup as I have an old well built house where wireless throughput drops off fast with distance. I can get speeds up to about 50-60 mb/s (not great but good enough) but that drastically drops off to 15-20 mb/s when I have my plasma on (Samsung pn59d8000 purchased in June). I tried a powerline filter for the plasma from Zyxel with only a slight improvement. This seems odd to me that a modern high end plasma which is intended to be networked would introduce so much noise. I'm sure there are other noise sources in my house but there is a clear cut relationship to the plasma being on or off. As many plasmas do, this one buzzes fairly loud - not sure if it's related to degree of noise introduced. Anybody have a similar experience or any suggestions? Thanks.

Don't have a Monster surge protector but do have one with EFI filtering which is now plugged into a dedicated powerline filter. Powerline adapter is plugged in directly to outlet. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoI'm sure every manufacture may have different result. :)
