PLW1000v2 Ignores DHCP lease time

Hi, I've been using a PLW1000v2 for about 6 weeks and it has been working great, it's allowed me to quickly setup a home office in an area that would be difficult to get a decent network into.

The device itself I've setup to use a static DHCP reservation in my home router which is  a Netgear R7000P running DDWRT. The lease time is configured as 1440 minutes however the DDWRT Syslog reports the PLW1000v2 is asking for a renewal every 30 seconds which occupies a lot of entries in the log. Firmware is up to date Version  V1.0.0.16.

Are there any recommendations as to why the PLW1000 is ignoring the specified DHCP lease time?

Thanks

  • I have the same issue with DHCP lease being requested every 30 seconds by a PLW1000v2 from my PAN firewall and I also have a static IP mapping. I'm seeing this with the older firmware version V1.0.0.8. Not sure if the "Powerline Firmware" needs to be upgraded as well, as it's currently v0.3.0.3AU according to the "Powerline status" page? No other device in the house has this issue.

Powerline network is working well, just annoying to have my logs filled up with 1000s of messages per day.
