Powerline 2000 - Bonded Ethernet possible / feasible?

I have a pair of Powerline 2000 units arriving today.  Looking at the specs, they have two Ethernet outlets on them.

Do the units support bonding / teaming the Ethernet ports, to improve throughput?  My ReadyNAS and Netgear switch are currently set up with 2 bonded Ethernet ports, and I was wondering if it was possible to do the same on the Powerline models, to take advantage of the higher speeds.

  • No. They wont do "teaming up". Be ready for a nasty surprise though becaus eyour throughput for NAS application will be pretty bad compared to PLP2000 marketing material.

I'm already on the Powerline 1000, but have a switch that handles the bonded NIC between them.  I was hoping to eliminate the switch and just have the NAS double up to the Powerline adapter directly.
