Powerline 2000 DL speed 5MBPS vs UL speed 100MBPS, why?
I have my PLP2000 wired to an eero mesh that's wired to the FIOS 1GB gateway and I get 5MBPS DL and 100MBPS UL when running network speed check in the other end. The eero results (DL/UL) are both in the upper 900MBPS.
Is there a reason for the low DL vs the UL results and is there something that I can do to improve the DL speed?

You can walk around the home and look for things that can impact powerline performance. There's more than you think.
things that can impact speed or cause interference.
1. being plugged into arc fault circuits, gfci outlets, surge protectors, and pwoer strips
2. old/bad/cheaply made electronics can inject interference
3. high draw appliances
4. Even simple things like bad/cheap cell phone chargers can cause interference
sadly, theres a lof of things that can impact powerline performance. And its hard to test whats causing it because usually the device (whatevers plugged in) functions properly but might have a poorly designed power circuit. And with things getting cheaper and cheaper, they tend to have slap together designs. I've literally walked around my house unplugging things before to test what might be causing issues. All to find out it was a microwave. So its a challenge with powerline sometimes.

Thanks for your reply.
If I would have had DL speed just as the UL speed, I would be happy and content and that's why I asked why the two were so different.
What you wrote would affect both UL and DL speeds right?

Potentially could. thats why its hard with powerline.
One thing you can try doing just to see if its a device issue is to put both powerline devices in the same room (tend to be on the same circuit) and test them to see if they get similar speeds up/down. that tends to eliminate a few of the things that inject interference so you can see if the devices are good.
