Powerline 2000 suddenly stopped connecting and working after months

Hello. I have been using 2 netgear 2000s for months. One connected to my router via ethernet on the first floor. Then the other is on the 3rd floor. This has not been any issue until recently one day it just stopped connecting. I have changed the outlets, the cords, reset both, and still nothing. Is it safe to say one of the units is toast? I can't think of any significant recent changes or additions to the wiring network. Thanks.

    Did you try the second plug in a socket near to the router? Do the LEDs show any signs of life?

     

    Tried swapping the two plugs? They are identical and it doesn't matter which is where, unless you have a wifi plug. (I can't tell because "2000" could be various things, PLP2000?)
