Powerline AV500 running with Powerline 2000
I am running a Powerline 2000 as my primary network solution.
I also have a Powerline AV500 and I am curious if I can run it simultanesouly with the Powerline 2000 or attach them to the Poweline 200 network?

Most recent Powerline devices follow the AV standard, which means that you can mix different makes and different generations. The only issue if that if you add "1000" plugs to a network with "500" plugs, or vice versa, they will talk to each other at the speed of the slowest plugs on the network.
Remember, you need only one "source" plug connected to the router. When adding new plugs to an existing network, you need to follow this advice:
>>> Adding a powerline adapter to an existing powerline network <<<
One other thing to consider, in theory you can mix brands but it isn't always easy to get set them up.

So my Poweline 2000 to Powerline 2000 will still commiunicate at the higher level but it only communicates at the AV500 speeds when going to the AV500 module. Or does the whole Powerline network only communicate at the AV500 speed?

I have seen conflicting advice on that front. Try it and see.
It is experience that matters to me, and not what a speed meter proclaims.
One point, the LAN ports on the AV500 plugs are 100 MBps. The newer ones are 1000 Mbps.
