Powerline n

I keep asking this question and get these answers, “Just by a transformer” Or “just buy an adaptor”.

That sounds great but I spend half my year in the States and the other half in a country using 220 DC power. Now transformers I have as well as adaptors for every shape of plug in.

But this is not telling me what I need to know before I head off only to have my still in the box Powerline 1000 wifi extender, do a meltdown or fail to launch when I put it in with or without an adaptor into a 220 socket.

So, ignoring the advice to go to eBay and buy a cheap adaptor....Does the Powerline 1000 really not care whether it is 110 or 220? Is the current strength of the electrical system being used irrelevant because it is only being used for signal transport?

Now if current strength matters, then I need to buy a 220 version and leave my 110 version here in the States. So my question becomes where can I buy the same device for 220? A list of countries would be great OR tell me I can use a power transformer.

Thank you.

What question is that? Something to do with volts and powerline plugs?

Here is a picture of one of my older plugs.

    Note the volts 100-240V~0.2A, 50-60Hz.

Should cover most of the planet.

    Then there is the manual.

    See Table 6. Technical specifications.
