Powerline network suddenly stopped working
Hello,
My powerline network seems to have stopped working some time over the weekend.
Our network setup is as follows;
Wireless router -> Powerline XAV2001
Powerline XAVN2001 -> Directly wired to a PC (as well as broadcasting wirelessly)
Another powerline device connected to a media server (I'm not sure of the model and it's in a hard-to-reach place, sorry)
Everything worked fine with the setup for around 2-3 years now. We changed our broadband provider around a month ago (and got a new router with it), but it was all still working perfectly. However, over the weekend the system seems to have just died.
My mother's computer is the one plugged into the XAVN, and right now is the only one seriously affected as she can't access the router's wireless from where it's located. All my devices are in range of the router, but I'm going away for christmas tomorrow so I need to fix this for her before I leave, as she uses her PC for business.
On the devices themselves, the power and ethernet lights both come on green, but the powerline light never comes on. It flickers once during startup if you power it off and on again, but that's about it.
No units come up in the powerline utility, and in Advanced IP Scanner there's a single "UNKNOWN" Netgear device. On my router's management page, it also finds an "UNKNOWN" device, but seems to think it's wireless - this is when the XAV is plugged in to the router. It shows no wired devices, but the XAV does claim to be receiving ethernet data.
Can anyone recommend something that I can try? Has the unit simply died?

Did you mean that you could see the data of broadband but can not connect to the Internet ? If this is the case, I think you should restart your wireless router and then maybe you have to reset the account of your broadband on the router's management page. Choose the Internet connection through the wireless router .Type in the account name and password. When finished , just try again to see if it works.:D
