Powerline PL1000 for differant electrical groups

I have one Powerline set which functions fine. The transmitter and reciever are connected on the the same electrical group. I want to install another set because I want an ethernet connection on a different spot which is not connected to the same electrical group as the other set. Therefore, I installed another set and connected the transmitter to to switch but that caused my internetconnection to go haywire. If I only connect the new reciever (whcih is not connected to the same eletrical group as the transmitter) the performance is to low. Can this in any way be solved?

    What is an electrical group?

All plugs on your powerline network have to be on the same electrical circuit. That's the whole idea.
