Powerline WiFi 1000 PLW1000v2
After a power interruption at the receiver (PLW) end I am now unable to get the base and remote units to communicate. I have one base unit and one remote unit.
I have mounted them side by side on the same wall socket but the 'pick a socket' lights do not come on.
I have tried numerous factory resets on both units.
I notice that, when one is plugged in, the power light comes on green, then after 4 seconds the 'pick a plug ' liight comes on green for about 20 seconds then goes off. This happens whenever either unit is plugged in, but does not happen on whichever unit is plugged in second.
On the wireless unit, after about a minute, the blue wifi light comes on, but I cannot detect any wifi signal.
To reiterate - even when both units are side by side on the same outlet I cannot get both 'pick a plug' lights to come on and stay on.
System has been in operation for over a year, working flawlessly until today when I needed to switch off the receiver unit for a couple of hours.
Any ideas?????

What caused the power interruption? Power cuts in thunder storms are good at frying electronic equipment, with all that lightning flying around.
Have you tried swapping the host/guest plugs around?

I shut off the power supply to the room where the receiver was located while an electrican worked on the wiring. When we restored the power the problem started.
At first I suspected that something the electrician had done had upset the supply to the socket where the receiver was located so I brough the receiver to the same room as the transmitter and plugged them in side by side, but this has made no difference.

I am not conviced that the electrician did not do something that broke your network. That does seem to be the trigger.
But it is hard to suggest how you could check that out.
