Problems with XAV5501's

I have been having connection problems with a pair of XAV5501's conneted to my Xbox 360 over the past few days, it seems to me as if after a short while of being connected, while on the dash not generally doing anything it will just suddenly drop the internet connection, does this quite often during the space of a day. i have updated the firmware to the latest v0.2.0.9CE and still the same thing is happening?

I currently don't have security on at the moment, but this shouldnt cause problem's with my connection should it? i know its recommended to have security on but to be perfectly honest it isnt working for me like it says in the manual. Whenever i press the security button on the adpaters themselves they don't seem to sync up? it doesnt help that the button is in a stupid place on the side of the unit rather than at the front and also that the button is the kind whereby you have to have very good nails or use something to push it in? doesnt feel right at all?

Could it be i have faulty units perhaps? I have done Factory resets on both units but my problems still exist. I noticed rather interestingly that on all the packaging for these plugs they have reference to 2010 so could it be i have recieved old stock? i'm thinking of RMA'ing this pair.
