Red light on ethernet adapter
I've had a red light on my netgear ethernet adapter for awhile now and I don't know what it is meant to mean. It's a powerline 1200 and it's the connection that's effecting my download and upload speeds. If anyone can help that would be great

Many things can impact powerline and cause interference.
These include cell phone chargers, cheap electronics, gfci outlets, surge protectors, arc fault circuits, electronics going bad, old wiring, etc.
Move the extender to the same circuit the master one is on. If you get a green light, the powerline isn't bad, somethings causing interference,
Then it becomes a troubleshooting game of whats adding interference to the system.
