Setup of PLP1200 with existing PL1200 (4 of) network

I saw a discussion on this topic. As it's closed, I have started a new topic. I've looked at the webpage https://kb.netgear.com/22165/Adding-a-powerline-adapter-to-an-existing-powerline-network for details of how to do this. Points 3 & 4 seem to be the same & slightly contradictory. Is point 3 or point 4 the correcft point to use? Do all adapters on the existing network (on mine, that's 4 adapters) have to have their Security button pressed? If so, in what order should the buttons be pressed?

Not knowing what the discussion was about, I am left guessing.

If you are trying to add new plugs to an existing network, then add the new plugs one at a time, following the instructions in the KnowledgeBase article you linked to.

The buttons you press are those on the host plug and the new plug. Leave the rest alone.

You can set the extra plug up alongside the "host" plug, the one connected to the router, and then move the new plug to where you need it.

The manual for the PLP1200 also explains what to do.
