Use Powerline Extender for Ethernet Backhaul for Orbi System
I have an Orbi mesh system (RBK753) with 1 main and 2 satellites. One of the satellites is in a separate studio building in the yard. It is far enough away from the house, that the wireless backhaul ...

Yes.
Not quite the same thing, but I have used Powerline as the wired connection to an Orbi router in AP mode.

Thanks, confirming this worked! The speed of the internet connection using the Powerline connection as the backhaul, is about the same as the wireless backhaul when it actually connects, but I'm hoping it will be a more stable connection. I consistently get ~600 MB/s download at the router, but only ~50-60 MB/s at the Powerline extender. Not sure if that's typical or not.

A lot depends on the local mains network.
As you say, Powerline should be more reliable.

That is about typical for powerline depending on the distance and tech involved (newest generations of powerline can hit 200Mbs ime). My older av500 units will hit about 50Mb.

Thanks Samir! I guess the Netgear product description is pretty misleading then. It says it can reach speeds of 2 GB/s. I totally get that's theoretical max, but that's a pretty drastic difference between theoretical and real world.
