Can I use the Powerline 2000 to create another wireless router connection?

    On its own, a PLP2000 Powerline plug does not supply wifi. There is no PLW2000, the variant that would come with a bundled wireless access point (AP). (The PLW1010 and the PLW1000 have that and would work with a PLP2000 network.)

     

    What you can do is use a PLP2000 plug as the Ethernet connection for a wifi extender in wireless AP mode. I have a PLP1200 Powerline network doing just that with an Orbi router in AP mode.
