Will switch work with Powerline adapter?

I'm having the same issue with the same products. Followed the suggestions given but still no good. The second a device, in this case a tv, tries to connect to the Internet the powerline begins to flicker and the connection is lost.
Have tried different combinations of restarting and factory resets but no go. The same powerline was previously hooked up to a 10/100 but tried to get some more speed out of it with the gigabit switch.
