No, it is indeed a wireless-N extender kit -- the XAVNB2001 -- specifically designed to create a wi-fi access point wherever one plugs in the extender unit. It comes with an XAV 2101 Nano Adapter to connect to the router, and an XAVN2001 wireless-N extender to plug in elsewhere and provide an additional wireless network.
