New to the forums. I just recently bought the XAVB101. I was able to update both with the firmware. But after the update my powerline was a red orange color and only giving me 39 on the speed compared to the one plugged into my gigabit wireless N router which was reading 200. I only bought these to get OnDemand from DirectTV instead of buying their crappy ones. I thought this would also take care of my XBox 360 wireless hook-up and give me faster downloads and movies from on demand. Was I wrong it took 20 to 30 minutes to get a show from on demand which is ridiculous. I am returning them and looking into an alternative. I'm sorry this might not have helped but it did work (just subpar) after the update
