I too found that locating the receiver for the keyboard and mouse within 5 or so inches of them solves the problem.
Netgear asked me to call them to resolve the issue, but I was not able to do that since I am working a long way from home and had to return to work after the holidays.
There is clearly an RFI problem with these devices
