XAV5001 (AV500 Gigabit) and XAV5201 (AV500) compatible?

Hi

Please could someone confirm if the XAV5001 (AV 500 Gigabit) and XAV5201 (AV 500) adapters are compatible?

I already have two XAV5001 Gigabit adapters linked up and working fine, and I would like to add an additional XAV5201 onto the network.

However when I add the XAV5201 adapter it doesn't appear (Powerline LED off) . I've followed the product instructions as far as I can tell, and I'm using the Universal utility programme to monitor, and it doesn't appear there either.

Any help appreciated.

I think you will be OK. I say that because the numbers here in the UK seem to be a bit different.

I have an XWN5001 pair working happily with the XAV5201, XWNB5201.

I bought a twin-pack of AV500 homeplugs with the two-pack of plug and wifi repeater.

It all works fine. I even added an extension plug from a different brand that also works.
  • Thanks - I think I will factory reset the lot of them, and then add them back in one at a time, and start off with them all plugged into sockets in the same room.
