Hi,
I'm owning 2 pairs of the XAV5004/XAV5001 combo and one pair of XAV5001 set. So at all 6 devices!
On all 3 pairs I have the same standby problems as ZepDad described. I think it happens more frequently when the connection is bad. But the strange is, that a replug is solving the problem within a few seconds.
I also think it doesn't matter which device is unplugged.
I also think that the actual firmware (2.0.9) is buggy. It is a pity, because the connection is very stable.
I also contacted netgear support. But they said the device is defectiv and I should send it back for repair. I really don't believe all devices are broken!
@netgear: If there is no way to fix the problem... give us an option to kill standby mode :D
