XAVB5601 problems
1. Why is there no support page for the XAV5601 (or the 2-kit, XAVB5601)?? 2. Just installed this kit. Speeds are good, connection is made around 350 Mbps according to the Powerline utility. BUT, ...

This seems to have worked for me but still to early to say anything conclusive. I'll post back in a week or earlier if any problems occur.
Issues are back... Sorry for crying wolf. I wish someone from Netgear could have taken a look at this.

Hello all
I do also have exactly the same issues as all of you.
I have 2 of these adapters, same issue.
When I replace the adaptapers, on the same power socket (I've tried other socket also), with one of Devolo AV500+ or Netgear XAV5501, no issue at all.
Have you found a solution to fix these consistent drops ?
I found a link to dowload the firmware, but the Neatgear team "forgot" to attach the file in the page !

Hi Patator100,
You may check the page of XAV5601 for the utility. If it works well with other powerline, it might be the device is defective. You may check the store for replacement or check with support team if your device is still within warranty.

Hello
thanks for your feedback
The device is not under warranty anymore.
I have already installed the powerline utility software V3.1.0.4 but I don't see how it can help me to upgrade the firmware or fix my issue.
On other forums, many people seem to have the same issue but none has found an issue nor an updated firmware.
Would it be possible to use the XAV5602 firmware instead ? There is an update/tool available : http://support.netgear.com/product/XAV5602
thanks for helping

XAV5602 firmware software does not work on the xav5601 since the firmware writter can not find the 5602 device...
so back to initial question...fix it or in the bean ?
If I don't find a fix I will complete my installation with 2 additional Devolo adapters rather than Netgear. More expensive but trouble-free !
