I had the same thing with the XAVB5501.
I have my homeplug and my router in the front room, and it was the vibrations from the door opening/closing, chairs moving around, hammering etc that would always knock it off.
Just moved my plug to the quieter back room and it doesn't anywhere near as much.
I don't have a XAVB5601, so it could still be the firmware.
